Attention Headteachers and Music Coordinators!

DfE Statutory Data Return for Music 2016-17
The Department for Education (DfE) requires data about music activity from all schools, academies and colleges, regardless of whether or not a school’s music is provided directly by Newham Music. We are tasked to collect and collate the data and submit a return to Arts Council England who then report directly to DfE. Some of this data is only available directly from schools, academies and colleges.
Please follow the link to the School Survey. To be completed by Friday 29th September 2017.
Newham Music is the lead organisation for the Newham Music Hub. Music Education Hubs were established by the DfE to develop music opportunities for all children and young people in schools and academies throughout England.
By completing the survey questions you will be helping us shape music education for Newham. Your responses and comments are important and will be used to create a new plan that will meet the needs of everyone engaged in music education across the borough.
The data you provide will be treated in the strictest confidence. If you are at all unsure about numbers, your best calculations are acceptable and we will submit the figures you provide.
If you have any queries about how to complete this survey, please contact the Newham Music office on 020 3598 6260 so we can help you, either over the phone or by coming into your school.
