A Whistlestop Tour of Early Years Repertoire from around the World with Sound Connections

September 22, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

£50

In this afternoon course, early years practitioner and trainer Alison Blunt will share a wealth of early years friendly material that she has collected from music traditions around the world (from Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, from Ghana to Kenya, from Italy to Scotland, from Mexico to Colombia and much more). Alison will unpack exciting repertoire for everyone to learn and explore in their settings, suggesting many ways in which we can incorporate children’s contributions, including those vocal, verbal/non-verbal, movement, gestural, role-play and instrumental. This course is suitable for people who are leading music with young children in in all types of early years settings, for parents and carers, and those who are looking to lead music with young children.
