September 13 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Free
Three people laughing and looking at a mobile phone

Immerse yourself in the weird and wonderful world of science this September as the British Science Festival lands in East London!

Understanding how we experience sounds in space goes beyond our comprehension of the inner workings of the ear. Studying how sounds move and surround us provides fascinating insight into our everyday lives.

Tommaso Perego from the University of East London studies sonic movement, a field of research that explores the perception of movement through sound and seeks to understand how our interpretation of sounds in space developed as an art form in performance, architecture, multimedia and arts.

Join him to have a play with some of the complex technology used to better understand sonic movement and discover how we might perceive our surrounding environment through sound.

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
