‘Give me your buns and your biscuits! Give me your chocolate eclairs! For I am the Rat of the Highway… and the Rat Thief never shares!’

Following last year’s screening of The Gruffalo’s Child with live orchestral soundtrack, we present The Highway Rat.

This new animated special from Magic Light Pictures is based on the picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

With the animated film projected on big screen, and live music performed by the LPO, this is a wonderful first concert experience for all the family.

Free FUNharmonics activities: 10am – 12 noon
Before each concert in the LPO’s FUNharmonics series, you can join us for activities specially designed to get younger pairs of ears and hands engrossed in music-making.

Enjoy fun, interactive ways into the concert which include opportunities for children aged 6+ to ‘have a go’ at different orchestral instruments under expert instruction (concert ticket holders only). Please be aware this activity is extremely popular and spaces are subject to availability. We recommend arriving early to avoid the longest queues.
