An exciting introduction to folk music and dance for children aged 9 – 12 years old.

Who is it for?

A great opportunity for 9 – 12 year olds to join the English Folk Dance and Song Society’s (EFDSS) folk music programme! Instrumentalists of all levels are welcome to come and enjoy playing, singing, dancing and creating fantastic folk music. No previous experience of folk music needed.

What can I learn?

Get Your Folk On! Juniors is based on folk and traditional music from across the British Isles and beyond.  You do not need to know how to read music as learning is mainly done by ear.

Everyone will play in a big folk band and learn exciting folk tunes, with the option to take part in traditional dances. The course concludes with participants performing in an informal concert to their family and friends!
