Inspiration Day for Newham Music’s Youth Ensemble Scheme (YES!) 2023-25. 

South London carnival band Kinetika Bloco leads a day of workshops, performance, and improvisation for school groups from across Newham. Kinetika Bloco is a youth music charity with an exuberant mix of young brass and woodwind players, drummers, steel pan and dancers all in costume creating a “unique new British Carnival sound with a decidedly London edge” (BBC Radio 2).

Newham Music’s YES! project supports school music teachers to lead high quality group music opportunities for their students, with a focus on creative, student-led music making.

This year, Newham Music is inspiring students to create their own music around the theme Space Is The Place, working in partnership with Rachel Leach, Modulus Quartet and Kinetika Bloco.
