db0 is a unique collaboration between Joe Steele & Kiran SKG – both of whom are composers, producers and multi-instrumentalists based in East London. Their work as db0 traverses genres from Indian and Western classical, ambient, jazz, hip-hop and experimental genres. db0 released their debut EP ‘ambi-tape’ in 2023, inviting the listener into six colourful sound worlds of choral voices, synths, saxophones, bells, pianos, field recordings and more. The EP was described as: “a six-track joyride through sonic wonderlands…futuristic, left-of-center goodness” – The Pit LDN. Currently db0 are working on a diverse portfolio of new releases with several up-and-coming artists, whilst developing their live set which foregrounds the combination of Indian and Western instruments.
