Applications are now open for Spitalfields Music’s Trainee Music Leaders Scheme, which offers a year-long practical traineeship for music leaders interested in gaining hands-on leadership experience working within education and community settings.

Over a period of 10 months (October 2016 to July 2017) trainees will:

• Work alongside experienced workshop leaders on projects as part of Spitalfields Music’s Learning & Participation programme;
• Attend three days of practical training;
• Work together with other trainees to design and deliver their own school-based creative project;
• Receive mentoring support throughout the year from experienced music leader and musician Sam Glazer.
