Learn traditional tunes together!

Newham Music teacher Emma Scarr hosts a folk music session.

All are welcome to bring an instrument and play along with others to traditional tunes from Ireland and beyond. The core musicians will play mostly Irish, English and Scottish music, and tunes and songs from all cultures are very welcome.

The general session format is that someone starts a tune, and those who know it join in. Feel free to bring along your own tunes and songs to lead, or quietly play along as you pick it up. We all learn from each other!

All are welcome to come along to sit, listen and enjoy. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
