Forest Gate’s Conductive Music-Makers

1 February 2017

Recently, Year 9 GCSE Music students at Forest Gate Community School have been taking part in a series of workshops with Conductive Music. They’ve been using everyday materials, building circuits, and creating their own unique instruments before performing original electronic music for their class. Students developed key skills for creative industries and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects including programming, craftsmanship, music performance and sound design.

Newham Music has enjoyed watching this project take place in our local schools, and we look forward to bringing more exciting opportunities like Conductive Music workshops to interested students in the borough.
