International Women’s Day Music Events

Today, 8 March, is International Women’s Day – a day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, and a call to action to improve gender equality around the world.

There are plenty of female-led music activities coming up this week that everyone will enjoy- and not just women! 8 March – 8Eyez Female Takeover – RichMix

11 March – #PledgeforParity – Stratford Circus
A panel discussion and networking event with representatives from female-led creative and entrepreneurial companies which aims to connect, celebrate and inform women and construct a shared sisterhood mentality. Find out more here.

Daily until 12 March – WOW: Women of the World Festival – Southbank Centre
Hear influential and challenging speakers, take part in mentoring sessions and workshops, and see some of the best female comedians, musicians, performers and writers around at this week-long festival. Find out more here.
