Piano and keyboard
Lots of people learn the piano, even though it’s not the easiest of instruments to learn – you have to learn to read music that’s more complex, reading up to 8 notes at the same time, and you can’t look at your fingers while you play!
If you do play piano, it’s worth taking up another instrument as well, or you could join a choir to use your music reading skills.
We teach the piano and keyboard in schools across the borough and at Newham Music Academy, our after-school and Saturday music centre.
