London is the best place to be when it comes to music & culture, but sometimes it can be hard to know where to look for opportunities.
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of music-based schemes and opportunities, as well as entry level and more senior jobs in the creative industries, for young people from across the capital. The list is not exhaustive but is a good place to start. Have a look and go and get involved!
New Creatives is a programme which focuses on building the next generation of live event producers aged 16-21. The project explores the skills needed to put on your very own event in a collaborative environment here at Rich Mix. Through industry talks, trips, networking, and weekly workshops, this programme will inspire you as a team to bring all your collective ideas to life.

Young Freelancers support the development and delivery of activity across LTM. This could look like cataloguing objects in our museum’s stores, producing online resources, making playlists for events or supporting to run arts and crafts workshops with families at half term.

This Fellowship was set up in memory of Khadija Saye who worked as a Young Freelancer at LTM at the time of her death in June 2017. This Fellowship seeks to support more young people, who share Khadija’s drive and ambition, into their careers in arts and culture.
As the Khadija Saye Photography Fellow, you will support the documenting of activity across LTM. This could look like taking photographs at our Late events to be used in promotional material, documenting youth projects for our website, or producing project imagery to be used in displays in our galleries.

Hackney Community Orchestra is looking for musicians! They play music that ranges from medieval dances through to traditional classical pieces, contemporary pop and world music. The ethos for the orchestra is based on creating support and encouragement for players in the early stages of ensemble playing, as well as helping those players returning to their instrument to regain past skills, building versatility and confidence.

The Volunteer Gallery/Visitors Assistant volunteer will be the first point of contact with visitors, providing assistance and enhancing their visiting experience. Lead guided tours, share your knowledge and facilitate various museum events.

Art on a Postcard is seeking an office intern to join our small, dynamic team and provide assistance around the office. Daily responsibilities will vary; you will be tasked with creating social media content, so prior experience managing a company’s social media account is essential. We are looking for a motivated individual to join us for a maximum of three months on a part-time basis (2 to 3 days per week).
