London is the best place to be when it comes to music & culture, but sometimes it can be hard to know where to look for opportunities.
That’s why we’ve compiled a list of music-based schemes and opportunities, as well as entry level and more senior jobs in the creative industries, for young people from across the capital. The list is not exhaustive but is a good place to start. Have a look and go and get involved!
iluvlive officially launched their Artist Development Programme with funding from Arts Council England. iluvlive have now worked with over 15 artists including Nao , Laura White, Lylo Gold, Jords and Emmavie.
Since 2023, the programme has been in partnership with Stellar Songs. This partnership has added a powerhouse of support for artists and ensured sessions as part of the Programme.
The chosen artist receives a budget of £5000 on hard costs, such as mixing, mastering, PR, plugging, tour support, videos, etc.
Hackney Community Orchestra is looking for musicians! They play music that ranges from medieval dances through to traditional classical pieces, contemporary pop and world music. The ethos for the orchestra is based on creating support and encouragement for players in the early stages of ensemble playing, as well as helping those players returning to their instrument to regain past skills, building versatility and confidence.

The Volunteer Gallery/Visitors Assistant volunteer will be the first point of contact with visitors, providing assistance and enhancing their visiting experience. Lead guided tours, share your knowledge and facilitate various museum events.

The Historical Performance department are recruiting two violin Fellows for the academic year 2025/26. Fellowships are offered to experienced postgraduate musicians who wish to enhance their careers as performers, educators and in other areas of the profession.
