Each summer, Newham Music invites hundreds of young people to participate in immersive musical activities and concerts through singing, playing, and performing at our Festival of Youth showcase. These interactive days are designed to celebrate the talent of every child throughout Newham. Through their participation, students will:

• build their musicianship skills, including performing with others.
• gain a great sense of accomplishment being a part of a large-scale production.
• learn and play songs together with children from other schools, cultivating their social skills and boosting their self-esteem through the enjoyment of music.

Festival of Youth 2025

On 9 July 2025, all schools in Newham are invited to take part in Sing Loud, Sing Newham at Silverworks Island – an exciting day to sing alongside schools from your local area, elevate your school’s vocal development, and celebrate the young musical talent of Newham! The event will include mass singalongs to a live band, performances by guest artists, interactive workshop elements, and opportunities for your school choir to perform. Learning resources and opportunities for in-school workshops will be shared in advance.

Friends and family will be invited to watch the Sing Loud, Sing Newham show at 3.30-4.30pm.

In addition, our Fringe Festival (28 June-12 July) will showcase the best of school and community music. If your school is running an end of term event during those two weeks, we can include you in our Festival of Youth programme.
