Mix.Lab
Mix.Lab is an exciting new music programme for female and non-binary individuals, aged 14-21 in Newham.
The project allows young people to explore music production, song-writing, composition and singing whilst collaborating with peers in an authentically creative space at the iconic Fold venue in Canning Town where classic musicianship and technology stand on equal footing, side by side.
The sessions are led by the participants, guided by Newham Music teachers and industry professionals, including one off masterclasses. No music experience is needed, just a desire and a passion to create.
Throughout the ten week programme, young people will be given free reign to explore, create, and collaborate with guidance from our trained music leaders. Each participant will leave the project with at least one piece of music they’ve helped create, whilst championing diversity.
