Play Dub Now

Play DUB Now was a partnership between Newham Music, The Warriors International (formerly known as Jazz Warriors) and Guildhall School of Music & Drama Creative Leadership Programme.

The project brought together young musicians from one secondary and four feeder primary schools to play & sing together in Dub ensembles. The project was ignited by performances from The Warriors International and then developed with them in partnership with Newham Music and school teachers, supported by Guildhall young music leaders. The project combined formal composition with improvisation skills and culminated in a performance of the young musician’s work at NM’s Festival of Youth 2016.
