Taste the Music

In August 2015 Newham Music went to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s Go East Fest to put on two days full of free music taster workshops and performances with our brilliant hub partners!

We had samba-style drumming Barbican Drum Works, dub & reggae vocal improvisation sessions with The Warriors International, steel pans with InspireWorks and Indian inspired dhol drumming and percussion from Bollywood Brass Band.

Children and young people from all over London, some who could play instruments and some who had never picked up an instrument before, came to taste the music with us!
