Studio Sessions

Free music making opportunities!

Studio Sessions are for all who want to make original music and gain skills in music production. In our weekly workshops, you can learn recording and mixing techniques from industry professionals, use Newham Music’s equipment, and produce your own tracks.

Equipment – You may bring your own laptop and headphones, or use Newham Music’s equipment. Studio Sessions participants work with Logic Pro X and online software, Charanga VIP, to record, mix, and produce original beats and tracks. Please note: Logic Pro is not free and is only available on Apple devices (Mac or iPad). No prior recording experience is required. Participants can continue working on their tracks at home using Charanga VIP.

Schools – Want to support your young musicians to produce their own music? We can provide online Studio Sessions for your pupils using our online resource, Charanga VIP, whether they are in school or learning from home. Charanga VIP’s allows young people to work from any location, home or school, encouraging engagement.

We also offer bespoke Arts Award lesson plans using beat-making in several contemporary music genres on Charanga VIP. Get in touch with us on info@newham-music.org.uk to discuss a bespoke music production offer for your pupils.
