Newham Music is running an exciting array of engaging events and workshops this Autumn Term.

Our weekly term time programme includes a variety of musical activities designed for all ages and skill levels.

The Flotsam Orchestra

The Flotsam Orchestra have taken up residency on Monday nights, welcoming a diverse range of musicians to share music together. For adult singers and players (18+) of all acoustic instruments. Come and learn songs and tunes from across the world with us on Mondays at Newham Music. We always learn by ear and all levels and backgrounds are welcomed – bring your acoustic instrument or just yourself and your voice! More info and sign up

First Steps

For families with younger children, First Steps provides early years activities on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and musical fun for all the family on Saturdays. Classes are separated into 0-9 months, 0-18 months, 18-36 months, under 5s and under 7s. More info | Sign up!

Vocal Academy

Vocal Academy is our progression route for 5-17 year olds who love singing, led by Newham Music’s dynamic vocal teachers. The choirs meet on Tuesday evenings at Newham Music: Westfield Hub. Now offering new Musical Theatre Club for 12-17 year olds! More info | Sign up!

Studio Sessions

Young people can develop skills in music production, recording techniques, and lyric writing in Wednesday night Studio Sessions. In our weekly workshops, you can learn from professional musicians, meet other young people, use Newham Music’s equipment and recording booth, and make your own tracks. More info | Sign up!

18+ Studio Sessions

We are now offering Studio Sessions for people aged 18 and over! In our weekly Wednesday workshops, you can learn from professional musicians, use Newham Music’s equipment and recording booth, and make your own tracks. More info | Sign up! 

E20 Grooves

A South Asian based ensemble that explores the genres of Carnatic, Hindustani, and Western Classical, Jazz and other global music traditions. Working with musicians trained in both Western and Carnatic music, learn through movement, storytelling and collaboration. Thursday evenings. More info | Sign up! 

Amplify: Creative Futures

Amplify: Creative Futures is an artist development club on Saturdays for ages 16-25.  You’ll get the chance to compose and perform your own music, develop yourself as an artist, build your network, and organise your own events. More info | Sign up!

Music Unlocked

All-ability accessible music-making sessions for Disabled and neurodivergent children and young people aged 7-25, their parents, carers, and siblings. Selected Sundays. More info | Sign up!

Rehearsals and Recording space

When we aren’t running workshops, we are now offering out our space and soundproof booths for free rehearsals and recording sessions! We can provide some equipment (PA, instruments, Solo recording bundle) and assist with setup but we don’t have a resident sound engineer. Enquire here!
