The Flotsam Orchestra have taken up residency on Monday nights, welcoming a diverse range of musicians to share music together. For adult singers and players (18+) of all acoustic instruments. Come and learn songs and tunes from across the world with us on Mondays at Newham Music. We always learn by ear and all levels and backgrounds are welcomed – bring your acoustic instrument or just yourself and your voice! More info and sign up
Young people can develop skills in music production, recording techniques, and lyric writing in Wednesday night Studio Sessions. In our weekly workshops, you can learn from professional musicians, meet other young people, use Newham Music’s equipment and recording booth, and make your own tracks. More info | Sign up!
A South Asian based ensemble that explores the genres of Carnatic, Hindustani, and Western Classical, Jazz and other global music traditions. Working with musicians trained in both Western and Carnatic music, learn through movement, storytelling and collaboration. Thursday evenings. More info | Sign up!
Music Producer Club creates space for young people to nurture their digital music-making ambitions, skills and identity through composition, production and performance. Over 10 weeks, professional producers will teach participants how to make their own electronic music with industry-standard Ableton software. When we aren’t running workshops, we are now offering out our space and soundproof booths for free rehearsals and recording sessions! We can provide some equipment (PA, instruments, Solo recording bundle) and assist with setup but we don’t have a resident sound engineer. Enquire here!
