This year we’re hosting 6 days of festive music making for our first-ever Winter Festival!

Featuring live performance and online showcases, we look forward to sharing the hard work and talent of our young musicians.

Sunday 13 December
Christmas at the Mill – Stop by the Mill House for live festive performances including from the Newham Music Youth Jazz Ensemble!

Monday 14 December
Schools Music Network Meeting – For Music Coordinators and teachers in Newham who use music in the classroom, hear what Winter Music celebrations look like in schools this year. Nativity? Carol Singing? Video advent calendar? Join fellow music educators to share experiences and gain practical tips for the end of term and beyond. Register to attend here

Newham Harmony LIVE – Over 20 schools join together for two days of live, virtual rehearsals and musical celebration to mark the second year of our massed singing project.

Academy ShowcaseOur Winter Concert features performances from the Bridging Sounds Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and 19 soloists! We’ll be live streaming on Facebook and Youtube on Wednesday 16 December at 6pm!
Family Quiz NightWe are hosting a new interactive quiz event which will test your family’s tech knowledge! Sign your family up here, and join us immediately following the Academy Concert on Wednesday 16 December!

Thursday 17 December
Young ProducersHelp shape future activities in Newham and share your opinions about how to use the new Stratford Youth Zone. We’ll be hosting a zoom conversation on the 17th of December for young people to take the lead on upcoming projects, programmes and events. Sign up to attend and let us know what you think!

Friday 18 December
Studio Sessions LIVE – We’ll be livestreaming from our pop-up studio in Westfield Stratford City, sharing original music created by young people in the last few months on Instagram Live.

Throughout the week we will also be sharing highlights of projects and events from this term including partner projects with Brolly Productions, Addictive TV, and Join the Docks.
