This winter at Newham Music, we are celebrating the festive season with musical workshops for all ages through December and January!
Winter Songs
Celebrate the festive season with Newham Music! Sing a selection of winter songs in an informal drop-in vocal session, and find out about our brand new choir for adults starting in the new year.
For over 18s. Any experience welcome.
6.30-7.30pm | Thursdays 5, 12 and 19 December
Gig School and Open Mic – Christmas Number 1s!
A free music making opportunity for young people. This time we will be focusing on Christmas Number 1s! Come along to meet and jam with other musicians, gain experience playing in a band, and perform together in Newham Music’s Open Mic.
For ages 12-17. Any experience welcome.
Jam 11am-5pm and Open Mic 6-7.30pm | Saturday 21 December
Find Your Voice
A free introduction to singing for adult beginners. The workshop will cover vocal skills, breathing techniques and relaxation. Together we will overcome challenges, build confidence, and you’ll have the chance to perform for each other.
For over 18s. Any experience welcome.
2-5pm | Sunday 29 December
Opera in a Weekend: The Magic Flute
A fun filled workshop that will introduce you to the art of the opera! Learn all about opera as well as songs and scenes from Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Perform alongside professional opera singers to friends and family at the end of day 2.
For ages 7-11. No experience required.
